We have a culture that values growth, achievement and diversity and a workplace where your voice can be heard.JOB MISSION SUMMARY These are the professionals who help us build our business in the national accounts, middle markets, small group markets, distribution channel, group insurance and specialty products areas. Their goal is to meet customer needs and help them make better decisions and about their health care and health care spending.RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for a highly motivated, resourceful and energetic sales professional to sell individual Aetna Medicare plans directly to consumers in downstate NY. The successful representative will achieve or exceed sales quotas by building relationships with community organizations, by presenting and articulating the Aetna Medicare value proposition in group settings and in consumers homes and by pursuing leads generated through corporate marketing campaigns. In addition, he/she will demonstrate the ability to manage his time and territory efficiently. Required Skills:  - 2-5 years consumer sales experience, preferably within the insurance industry - Strong telemarketing skills - Articulate communicator - Excellent time and territory organizational skills - Ability to create and track leads for sales success - Comfort with technology, including familiarity with CRM software and with Microsoft Outlook and Excel - NY state health insurance license preferred - College degree or equivalent work experience ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: - We offer a competitive base salary plus monthly commissions (Total compensation for this position base plus commission is approximately 70K). - Position requires 75% field work; 25% work at home office. - This is a work at home position. - Candidate will have access to several Aetna offices located throughout the tri-state area We value leadership, creativity and initiative. If you share those values and a commitment to excellence and innovation, consider a career with Aetna.How to apply  To learn more about this opportunity, visit us at http://www.aetna.com/working .
