SUPERVISOR - STATUTORY REPORTING
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a supervisory position responsible for the property & casualty Statutory reporting for the Company and its insurance subsidiaries and reports to the Director of Accounting Services.
Coordinate the internal and external financial statement reporting and footnote disclosure for an assigned Statutory insurance company and related subsidiaries, including all quarterly, annual and other regulatory filings as required.
Play a lead role in the coordination of the independent financial audit process for an assigned insurance company and related subsidiaries as well as external regulatory audits.
Support current processes and help transform internal processes and reporting as required for Statutory and GAAP compliance.
Provides technical advice to lower level associates and other functional areas relating to both GAAP and Statutory accounting principles.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Two or more years of previous supervisory experience required. Strong understanding of Statutory accounting and reporting concepts is a necessity.Five or more years of Statutory insurance and reinsurance accounting and reporting experience required. CPA or MBA preferred but not required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required. PeopleSoft or Oracle experience desired. Excel proficiency required.
