EDUCATION The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS - Project Management Certification is desired FUNCTIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE - Information Technology: Infrastructure management - Information Technology: Project management POSITION SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage a broad range of web infrastructure projects including product upgrades and new product rollouts in support of SOA initiatives. - Manage project schedules, resources, and delivery commitments for web initiatives. - Work closely with engineering staff, and vendors to manage problem resolution. - Guide projects toward standard infrastructure solutions and best practices. - Manage application upgrades to maintain software currency. - Create technology relationships between IT, business segments and partners to maximize value of IT infrastructure. - Identify and act upon opportunities to improve computing availability reliability, efficiency, performance and overall service within the enterprise computing environment. - Participate in the delivery of emerging technologies and product offerings for the development of competitive infrastructure solutions. Required Skills: SKILLS: - Must have strong project management and clear concise communication skills. - Must have demonstrated troubleshooting/ problem resolution skills - Must have a solid understanding of application server environments and object-oriented programming concepts. - J2EE and .NET application server knowledge and experience is preferred with particular emphasis on the WebSphere server suite and Microsoft IIS environments. - Understanding of UNIX/Linux environments, TCP/IP networks is desired. - Microsoft and IBM mainframe platforms and technology integration experience is desired. - Must be able to work well independently on multiple, diverse projects while collaborating within a team environment. - Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent job experience. - 5 - 7 years diverse work experience in IT, IT project management or equivalent combination of education and work experience. - A willingness to embrace and support new technologies across diverse platforms.
