Risk Mgmt. Training & Development Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

 The Risk Management Training & Development Specialist is responsible for the professional development and facilitation of safety related training to JI’s external clients.  This position interacts with teammates on the Program Management, Loss Control and Human Resources teams in efforts to improve organizational effectiveness.

 

 

Functions and responsibilities:

 

·  Develop and update safety and risk management related curriculum/materials

·  Schedule and deliver risk management related training to water districts throughout Texas

·  Collaborate in the assessment of new training related needs for clients

·  Deliver just-in-time (based on specific events/incidents) training to clients

·  Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with clients for increased use of JI products and services

·  Assist in the delivery of in-house training

·  Keep accurate training records/files

 

 

Requirements:

 

·  Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management strongly preferred

·  Minimum of five years safety/risk management experience, preferably within public entities/municipalities

·  Minimum of two years curriculum development experience

·  Minimum of two years safety related training experience 

·  Ability to be certified as a Defensive Driving Instructor

·  Ability to travel 60% within Texas

·  Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications

·  Self directed and strong time management skills

·  Outstanding written and oral communication skills; excellent customer service skills

·  Ability to prioritize work load and meet required training deadlines

·  Ability to be flexible with changing client priorities
