Description

 

Be part of a team securing reinsurance from an array of worldwide markets for insurance companies located throughout the U.S.

Job Description

 

1.      Assist with the renewal of reinsurance programs, meet with and entertain clients, as necessary, to learn their needs and maintain strong relationships.

2.      Assist with the design of new programs for clients' needs, placing business with client-approved reinsurers.

3.      Manage expenses, time, services, etc. in order to maximize profits.

4.      Produce contractual documentation confirming acquisition of reinsurance.

5.      Follow-up on contract documentation, ensuring the timely execution.

6.      Oversee accounting and claims activities arising from reinsurance transactions.

7.      Interact with insurance companies and reinsurers to promptly address their questions and concerns.

8.      Assist in responding to client requests for information (reinsurer financial reports, industry issues, etc.).

9.      Establish and maintain strong working relationships with reinsurers, clients, and colleagues.

10. Develop comprehensive knowledge of reinsurer capability (product lines, capacity, approvals, etc.). Qualifications

1.       Write succinctly, speak cogently and utilize quantitative analytical skills proficiently.

2.       Work independently, but enjoys being part of a team.

3.       Well organized, able to handle several tasks at once and meet targeted deadlines.

4.       Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel with ease.
