JOB GROUP SUMMARY These are the professionals who help us build our business in the national accounts, middle markets, small group markets, distribution channel, group insurance and specialty products areas. Their goal is to meet customer needs and help them make better decisions and about their health care and health care spending. POSITION SUMMARY Group Insurance AE's are responsible for representing all Group Insurance products to their customers. They are involved in Implementation, On-going Service and retention. They are responsible to interface with all levels of the organization, and to develop strong partnership relationships at multiple levels with-in the customer. The GI AE will be required to meet with their assigned customers quarterly to present outcome data, make performance recommendations and set mutual business objectives.Cultivates strong relationships with the controlling GI Plan Sponsors and local Field Sales and Service personnel. Provides superior Group Insurance knowledge of products, services and financial arrangements to foster the retention and growth of existing customers. Promotes Group Insurance knowledge among local non-GI personnel. Manages an assigned block of business of 10-40 GI Plan Sponsors.Oversees a block of business to retain profitable customers and help grow the business through consultative selling, issue resolution and superior service. Develops and delivers strategic plans relative to Group Insurance products and customers, in some instances working with AE/AM/Regional Heads and GI Sales. Lends expertise in the delivery of renewals and/or accountings. Develops and directs cross-functional solutions to complex issues. Builds effective working relationships across all functions. Completes consultative reviews and makes recommendations for Plan, Structure, Financial Arrangements, Pricing and Service expectations. Provides product and service updates to customers, brokers/consultants and Field Representatives. Participates in the development of proposal strategies/responses. Participates in customer/consultant meetings, including Finals presentations, as necessary. Recommends creative solutions for conservation issues. Maintains broad based Product Knowledge and working knowledge of industry trends. Assists with cross sell opportunities. Promotes Group Insurance awareness through educational initiatives.ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION We value leadership, creativity and initiative. Required Skills: EDUCATION The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
