ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

In this position, you will play a key role being the owner of management projects, with responsibility for delivery of projects on time and on budget. You will be managing 4+ projects simultaneously. You will also report to the Project Management Office (PMO) Director and interact with co-workers, external clients and agents.  

 

Hours: M-F with the ability to go on-call, on a rotating basis

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Develop project plans, execute them and integrate change control to ensure all elements of the project are properly coordinated. Mentor others as the project develops.

2.  Perform scope planning and verification to ensure all work required is completed to successfully end the project.

3.  Define, estimate, sequence, and control the tasks that make up the project.

4.  Define resources, estimate costs, budget, and controls to ensure completion is within budget. Mentor others with delivery.

5.  Manage quality planning, assurance and control. Mentor others on performing these functions. 

6.  Provide leadership and input with the QA group.

7.  Perform organizational planning, staff acquisition and team development. Mentor project team in skills and career development.

8.  Perform communications planning, information distribution, performance reporting and administrative closure. Mentor others in transfer.

9.  Identify, analyze, respond, monitor and control project risk and mitigation strategies. Mentor others in searching and mitigating.

10.  Plan, solicit, select, and manage administration and closeout of services from external organizations. Mentor others involved in managing these details.

11.  Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceMust Pass the Long Term Care (LTC) I, II, III and IV Exams (Long Term Care Professional Certified)5-8 years project management experienceAbility to mentor others and has experience with the phases of the waterfall software development lifecycleExperience with one or more iterative development processes such as RUP, RAD, XP, etc and the concepts of the PMBOKExpert with MS Project and ExcelExperience with MS Visio and can mentor others.Familiar with Togethersoft and can use it with assistance
