ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

In this position, you will be expected to own and manage various projects with no assistance with responsibility for delivery of projects on time and on budget.  This role reports to the Director of the Project Mngt. Office and works with co-workers, external clients and agents. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Performs project plan development, execution, and integrates change control to ensure all elements of the project are properly coordinated (up to 2-4 projects simultaneously).

2.  Performs scope planning, verification, and change to ensure all work required is completed to successfully end the project.

3.  Defines, estimates, sequences, and controls the tasks that make up the project schedule.

4.  Defines resources and cost estimating, budgeting, and controls to ensure completion within budget.

5.  Manages quality planning, assurance and control.

6.  Performs organizational planning, staff acquisition and team development.

7.  Performs communications planning, information distribution, performance reporting and administrative closure.

8.  Identifies, analyzes, responds, monitors and controls project risk.

9.  Plans, solicits, selects, and manages administration and closeout of services from external organizations.

10.  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

 

QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree 4-10 years of work experience Experience with the phases of the waterfall software development lifecycle and can mentor othersExperience with one or more iterative development processes such as RUP, RAD, XP, etc.Experience with the concepts of the PMBOK and can mentor othersProficient with MS Office and able to use MS Project and Visio without assistanceFamilar with with Togethersoft Must pass the Long Term Care I, II and III exams
