The Project Coordinator position is responsible for providing support to project managers on new business implementation projects, business conversions, administrative system configuration and testing projects, existing client maintenance, and company-wide process & quality improvement projects.  The project coordinator functions as the primary internal liaison between Account Management, Insurance Carriers, and internal departments for on-going tasks and projects.  The Project Coordinator will obtain, verify, and communicate internal and external project requirements to the project manager, support the project manager throughout assigned projects, and obtain, organize and report on extensive product-related information for assigned tasks and projects. This position also coordinates and supports both internal and external reporting needs. 

 

---Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) preferred.  High School diploma required.  Insurance industry coursework desirable.
---Minimum 2 years of office experience, preferably in the insurance industry, with insurance carriers, or in a related area.  Experience must include coordinating and completing multiple tasks and projects of differing types and complexity at the same time.
---Demonstrated organizational skills.
---Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
---Demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally coordinate and complete multiple tasks and projects of differing types and complexity and due dates.
---Ability to complete tasks and projects within required timelines with minimal direct supervision.
---Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities.  Must be willing and able to adapt to changing roles and responsibilities.
---Ability to learn and employ new tasks, concepts, and processes quickly.
---Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.
---Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.  Requires knowledge and use of standard business correspondence practices.
---Strong computer software skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Access helpful
