If you would like to apply your skills and experience to create health-care solutions, consider the following position: Job Summary: This position supports the Vice President, Strategic Development in the configuration, development, implementation, and deployment of enterprise-level strategic initiatives. This position provides consultation and management for senior management regarding program management of assigned key strategic initiatives. Based on extensive prior experience and comprehensive understanding of Premera-specific business requirements, the candidate must be able to clearly articulate project status, issues and solutions to senior management and manage enterprise-level projects. Responsibilities: 1. Advise VP Strategic Development and corporate management on the project planning, tracking and implementation of key enterprise-wide strategic initiatives coordinating both business and system related aspects. 2. Provide corporate leadership for large enterprise projects and programs Development Project through integration of the efforts of the Configuration, IT, System Operations (Testing), and Business Process Segment Managers and their respective Departmental Teams. 3. Strengthen the integration of large enterprise projects and programs by development of Project Team objectives with implementation of team objectives. 4. Ensure that the products and deliverables of large enterprise projects and programs and Development Project are integrated with, and completed on a schedule supportive of, corporate strategic objectives. 5. Collaboratively plan the utilization of departmental resources applied to large enterprise projects and programs in order to optimize company-wide resource allocation. 6. Implement management control processes to ensure that project budget, schedule, and scope are maintained within the approved project baseline. 7. Clearly articulate project status, risks, and outlook to the Steering Committee and executive management. 8. Improve existing management processes and pilot innovative, new management processes and facilitate their deployment throughout Premera, in coordination with the Enterprise Project Management (EPM) initiative of Strategic Development. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or systems management or related field. 2. A minimum of ten years of experience managing complex projects with inter-related IT and Business requirements. 3. Very strong leadership qualities with definitive, successful experience in leadership positions. 4. Ability to effectively lead large, multi-departmental teams to successful achievement of corporate goals. 5. Demonstrated ability to facilitate collaborative solutions to complex multi-disciplinary problems and articulate features and benefits to appropriate management audiences. 6. Significant experience in development, implementation, and deployment of business systems achieving outstanding customer satisfaction. Additional Qualifications Preferred: 1. Masters degree in business systems management or health care management. 2. Three to five years of healthcare experience. 3. Knowledge of Premera’s current information systems and transaction systems.
