As the functional leader of the Medical Data Analytics department, this position is charged with managing a team responsible for championing the use of Liberty Mutual's leading-edge WC medical loss business intelligence application throughout the Company, and directing the creation of actionable analyses and reports as a catalyst to change in support of the organization's managed healthcare services.Responsibilities: Overseeing medical data analysis to support multiple segments of Liberty Mutual’s business operations. Analyzing complex medical information and determines systems and data requirements necessary for use by a variety of stakeholders. Deciphering and interpreting a wide range of requests for medical data and analyze available information to provide meaningful recommendations to meet needs. Setting priorities and taking responsibility for output of reporting group. Assuming lead responsibility for targeted vendor management. Responsibility for the evaluation of effectiveness of managed care productQualifications: Related degree or equivalent plus a minimum five years of relevant and progressively more responsible work experience required. Relevant experience working with medical data, especially bill payment, contracting, and clinical reporting and analysis. Experience with Workers Compensation claims data preferred. Knowledge of managed care operations, objectives and strategies as well as business process and information flow. General knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies. Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to summarize and present results to senior management, customers, and vendors.
