Plant Engineer

Manufacturing/Production/Operations Occupation: Operations/Plant Management Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Reference Id: 1335373MDI   This position works rotating shift in a 24X7 Data Center and is responsible for providing a service to control and monitor multiple sites and/or buildings from a central processing computerized unit. Position will rotate every four weeks between 1st and 3rd shifts. Training period will require the ability to work all three shifts. Troubleshoots building temperature, lighting and other issues using the smart tool. Performs maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems and equipment. Reads blueprints and schematic drawings. Collects and records the results of water sample testing. Performs preventative maintenance on the plant. Operates plant automation systems. Adjusts lighting through the automated system. Also responsible for beeper duty. Requirements: * Building Automation System (BAS) experience and fire/life safety system experience required. * State or regulatory license required where appropriate. * Typically 1- 5 years of Chiller Plant operation experience. * Universal CFC certification required. * Prefer Data Center / raised floor experience. * Must have knowledge of switchgear, generators, chillers and UPS systems. * High voltage systems would be a plus.
