Physical Therapist - Health Service Consultant Job Description We are looking for a licensed physical therapist to join the National Clinical Appeals Unit.  This position requires the successful candidate to serve as a physical medicine resource in resolving clinical appeals working with our team of appeal analysts, nurses and medical directors.The role requires assisting in the administration of plan benefits by utilizing clinical expertise in the application of Aetna's clinical criteria to the review of treatment records.Specifically, the physical therapist will provide a clinical summary of individual case reviews and work directly with the medical directors in resolving therapy appeals. Required Skills: 3-5 years of clinical experience (e.g. hospital setting, alternative care setting such as home health or ambulatory care) and current unrestricted State Licensure (Physical Therapist) Proficiency to navigate through internal and external computer systems. Ability to exercise independent and sound judgment in clinical decision making. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
