Major Duties and Functions Include: Provide quality client service and administrative support to the MetLife Annuity and Investment Product, Immediate Participation Guarantee (IPG). Responds to plan sponsor requests, resolves administrative or service issues. Will ensure that all transactions are processed according to department standards, may participate in client meetings or conference calls. Anticipate and understand customer needs and develop the plan of solution to best meet their needs. Will be responsible for providing the highest degree of customer service to our internal and external clients as well as business partners. Will be responsible for an assigned book of business. Processing of retirements, deaths of participants, financial transactions, reviewing and auditing for accuracy and completeness within set time frames. Establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with internal and external clients and business partners. Participate in initiatives and system testing. Must possess and demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and as a team player. Will be expected to multi-task and be flexible in work assignments. Must have a positive attitude, embrace challenges and have the ability to implement and adapt to change. Will serve as back-up to another Pensions Benefit Consultant. What You Need to Succeed: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or related field or equivalent work experience is required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to work as a part of a team as well as independently. Ability to negotiate with internal and external customers in order to meet deadlines is required. High degree of organizational skills are required. Must be able to prioritize daily workload but remain flexible in an ever changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Ability to multitask is a must. Strong analytical and research skills are required. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiatives. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience using Lotus Notes and ACCESS is a plus. Experience using FMSS, MetCare, GPAY, MetLife Privacy Portal SIR and PCTS is a plus. Experience using Calligo and Cognos would be a considered a plus. Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet. It should provide satisfaction…and an opportunity to make a difference.
