Nationally recognized growing Commercial Property and Casualty Wholesale/Brokerage Insurance Firm has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Property & Casualty Underwriting Manager with Worker Compensation background to oversee the production and Underwriting of existing program based in San Diego, CA.


Must have proven track record of successfully managing and growing an insurance firm with the ability to achieve the firm’s growth & profitability objectives.

Qualifications:5 Years Property & Casualty (WC) Underwriting Experience3 Years Underwriting Management ExperienceProduction Experience with Proven Track Record of SuccessStrong Technical Underwriting Skills Ability to negotiate, influence, and close dealsExcellent Interpersonal/Teamwork SkillsStrong organizational, time management and communication SkillsProficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows operating SystemStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in fast pace environment and meet deadlines 

Responsibilities:Over see the Underwriting of  New & Renewal business according
to program  Underwriting guidelinesRisk Selection – Qualify Leads - Identify MarketsAggressive follow up and ability to Negotiate dealsDevelop and maintain Strong Broker & Carrier RelationshipsMonitor Program Performance Results for ProfitabilityImplement Action PlansDevelop Strategic Business Plan for ProgramDevelop and Implement Underwriting Training Underwriting Team on Program GuidelinesCoordinate Activates between Underwriting, Claims/Loss Develop Workflow and Referral Processes
