Contracts Paralegal

 

We are seeking a strong Contracts Paralegal with experience reviewing, negotiating and managing all types of contracts and RFPs.  The Contracts Paralegal will be a member of the Law Department and will be responsible for new and renewal service contract development and issuance, including RFP reviews, technology agreements, leasing agreements, confidentiality agreements.  Functions will also include, but not be limited to, conducting legal research and analysis, drafting of memorandums and the creation and management of a contracts database. 

 

The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to work with diverse personalities.  Position will be full time.  The position also includes some administrative and clerical responsibilities.

 

This position is also responsible for records management, providing operational oversight of records management to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and with internal policies.

 

This position will provide daily support to Account Executives, Account Managers, internal departments and GAB Robins’ clients.  This position reports to the Assistant General Counsel responsible for the company’s contract portfolio. 

 

Education, Experience, Specific Job-Related Skills

 

·  Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and an ABA certified paralegal program; or a minimum of two (2) years of college and graduation from an ABA certified paralegal program; or graduate of an ABA certified paralegal program and 3 to 10 years related experience and/or training in a fast paced law firm or corporation; or equivalent combination of education and experience

·  Experience with contract administration, legal research, database creation/management is particularly helpful.

·  Experience with Records Management.

·  Knowledge of Lexis, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes.

·  Detail oriented.

·  Is able to support and handle change.

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, editing experience a plus.

·  Familiarity with other general office equipment (fax machines, printers).

·  Very high level of detail orientation and critical thinking ability.

·  Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new and proprietary software applications.

·  Ability to prioritize, plan and self-direct workflow; ability to self-audit work product.
