SummaryAccountable for growth for Safeco P&CCommercial lines experience preferredTelecommute position Kansas City and Surrounding TerritoryResponsibilitiesThe P&C Sales Professional is responsible for the overall growth of Personal and Business Insurance. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing the assigned territory to achieve and exceed new item and revenue production targets in each line of business, with emphasis on Safeco Business Insurance. Accountable for profitable growth and new business production goals with assigned agents. Develops new agents and identifies emerging distribution opportunities in the territory. Develops a sales plan with each assigned agency which includes sales commitments within a specified time frame. Prepares for agency calls by analyzing agency specific data with follow up in a regular agency call report. Serves as focal point for agency and company interaction. Provides analysis and assessment of sales results within assigned territory. Share responsibility for planning annual objectives for each agency, measuring and monitoring the results, and ultimately exceeding his or her annual objectives for the sales territory. Approximately 25% overnight travel.QualificationsA minimum of 4 years insurance sales experience is strongly preferred along with a strong desire to maximize Safeco's Sales Incentive Plan. The qualified candidate must be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding of Personal and Commercial Lines, as well a thorough understanding of agency/broker dynamics. Superior sales skills and a proven record of influencing others is a must. Strong computer skills are needed in order to understand and sell Safeco's technology platform and strategy in both lines of business.Communication and presentation skills must be well developed and proven.Computer literate with a good understanding of internet and agency management systems. Previous experience working in virtual environment highly desired.Four-year degree or equivalent industry experience required.We are looking for the best and the brightest talent to help us execute our vision!
