Client
Develops and manages productive ongoing relationships with significant referral sources.Directs all business or client development activities.Responsible for the stewardship review process and meetings for largest clients.Directs consultation process and assignment of opportunities.Leads in their profession, and is attuned to and leads the ever changing nature of their profession.Manages relationships with carriers. Participates in meetings with carriers to ensure quality service and best available terms for new and existing business with the insurance market. Assigns referral sources, prospects and clients to appropriate client facing professional
Financial
Develops annual budget and business plan for the office. Manages all functions that contribute to the profitability of the office and the achievement of business objectives. Exercises expense control and maximizes revenue and net operating income within the office in compliance with corporate guidelines. Monitors the profitability of client accounts.Develops, implements, and leads new business activity.Develops, implements and measures the profitability of new client development strategies.Develops and manages productive referral relationships with internal and external sources.Closes new business deals and transitions client to account management status.

Process
Actively manages the prospect funnel within the office and ensures that up-to-date prospective client information is maintained.Ensures that all staff members utilize the client management system in an accurate and timely manner to enter and maintain certain prospect and account information.Responsible for the effective management of the sales cycle time on all new business opportunities.Ensures all regulatory requirements are met and complies with all best practices, professional standards, internal policies, and procedures.
Experience
At least fifteen years of client management/transactional sales experience, preferably involving interaction with affluent clients and related referral sources. Prior P&L responsibility is ideal. Personal lines insurance experience is required.
Holds appropriate P&C license, or is prepared to study for and pass the exam within 90 days of employment. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

Exhibits proven leadership, delegation and project management skills.Proven business development and negotiation skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively develop and leverage key relationships and referral sources. Proven ability to consistently convert a cold lead into a qualified prospect.Strong financial and analytical skills.Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with remote locations, external clients, and carriers. Demonstrated ability to deliver highly technical information to less technical individuals.Proven time management skills are necessary. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver timely and accurate work products with a client service focus, and respond with a sense of urgency as required.Must be highly proficient in the use of personal computers and supporting software in a Windows based environment, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes; experience using customer or contact relationship management software strongly preferred, knowledge of Applied is ideal. Should be knowledgeable in the use of intranet and internet applications.Proven ability to function effectively as a results-oriented self-starter, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility while maintaining a high set of standards.Must possess strong presentation skills and demonstrate a comfort dealing with very affluent individuals as well as high level executives.Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem solving skills.Must demonstrate professional and ethical business practices, adherence to company standards, and a commitment to personal and professional development.
