OPERATIONS ANALYST - MEDICAL MALPRACTICE
MEDICAL MALPRACTICE CLAIM OPERATIONS ANALYST - STATISTICS, ANALYSIS, AND REPORTING Individual can be based in any HealthPro Claims Office…locations preferred are Chicago, Syracuse, Maitland, Tampa, or Portland. 2 positions available.Under broad supervision, analyzes business and other data for operations projects. Selected individual will have the opportunity to work under the guidance of more senior level operations staff and management to develop reports and analyze a variety of claim and legal data and metrics. For example, will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the status and statistics of claim trial results, calendar dates, claim file referrals, licensing, and provide back up support on state form reporting. Will work with all departments and levels of Global Specialty Lines (GSL) Claim including other GSL Line of Businesses, Compliance, Legal, and Finance and will interact with all levels of CNA, up to senior management. Will have insurance industry knowledge, line of business exposure, technology, and process / compliance exposure and be able to utilize strong analytical and problem solving skills. Job Responsibilities: 1. Documents and analyzes operational and/or other data which may include staffing allocation, work distribution, budget, compliance and/or operations goals. 2. Develops and uses work management tools and analyzes database and operating systems to facilitate efficient processes and to conduct quality and/or operations reviews. 3. Develops the scope, proposals and details of project plans. 4. May participate in the development and implementation of training plans and coordinates implementation to end users. 5. Identifies issues that impact service provision and may make recommendations to management. 6. Prepares and submits project status and other reports to management. 7. May plan, organize and manage system testing. 8. May work with other departments or may provide technical assistance to others within the department. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Strong knowledge of the functions performed by the business unit with developing knowledge of the insurance industry. 2. Excellent organizational and analytical skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects. 3. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 4. Strong client and team interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all internal and external business partners. 5. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and business information in a clear, concise and effective manner. 6. Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions which have an impact on people, costs and quality of service. 7. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. 8. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with strong Excel skills, and the ability to learn and utilize other business related software systems including database and operating systems. Education and Experience Required: 1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and completion of applicable professional designations. 2. Minimum two years related experience including previous project experience.
