New Business Originator 11799

Our client, a well established, large agency in Southeast Michigan, seeks to add a very assertive, creative and talented individual to its team as a New Business Originator.  This newly created role will report directly to the organizations President and play an integral role in developing new business and cross selling opportunities for the firm in both Commercial Property & Casualty insurance as well as in Employee Group Benefits. 

 

The individual occupying this role needs to work with the president and other producers to identify new business and/or cross sell prospects and opportunities. This candidate will actively engage in initial contact with prospects by telephone and other media. You will provides appropriate information to producers so that customized insurance solutions and quotes can be prepared and delivered to the prospect in a timely and professional manner. We are looking for someone who can participate in presentation meetings and help to close sales.  Also for someone who can attend trade shows that are attended by targeted prospects.

 

Requirements: Candidates need to have a Bachelors Degree with at least two to four years of prospecting, cold calling, relationship building and sales success, preferably in the insurance or other financial services related organization.  This position requires excellent communications skills especially relative to telephone contact and face to face presentations. We are looking for someone with a very professional demeanor and attitude, high integrity and trust inspiring personality. The ability to be creative in identifying and connecting with both cold prospects and warm referral leads. Current P & C, Life & Health licenses preferred but not required.
