National Catastrophe Claims Field Examiner

This position will require extensive travel, up to 80% on the road. This is a home based position and can be located anywhere in the country
As a field examiner, you will use your analytical and investigation skills to conduct scene investigations, evaluate coverages, negotiate and settle claims on automobile and property losses during catastrophic events. These would include non-structural damage claims such as roofing, siding, smoke, water damage, lightning, kitchen fires, losses to trees, shrubs or plants, moderate building and personal property, and basic additional living expense issues. You will travel extensively throughout the country and interact with independent adjustors and staff examiners.
Qualified candidates will have the following: * Extensive property and Catastrophe claims handling experience; verifiable damage assessment required * Strong comfort level in handling a variety of assignments with a varying degree of insurance liability issues* Excellent time management and communication skills* Self starter and able to work independently and proficient in managing tasks in the field * Clean driving record required as you will operate a company vehicle * Expert proficiency in the Xactimate Estimating platform, including Sketch; Multi-line platform using Pathways a plus
