Technical Lead / Analyst

Under general direction, formulate/define system scope and objectives for key business systems through multiple releases. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems. Develop prototypes and prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary. Lead development, debugging and testing of applications, including but not limited to graphical user interface development, SOA Service development and database development, as well as program maintenance when necessary. Work at the highest technical level of most phases of Wheels' rapid Application Development methodology. Oversee teams of one or more Developers for project delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Gain deep understanding of the business capabilities and objectives for the business area supported. Work with business leaders and users to gain understanding of potential technology solutions. Design technology capabilities and solutions that support and enable the business strategy, processes and objectives for the business area supported. Ensure a cross-functional view and roadmap to maximize business value of technology investments for business area supported. Work with Project Managers, Team Leads and Developers to ensure solution designs are accurately translated into detail designs and adhere to all required standards. Review and approve all design documents to ensure performance, availability, scalability, integrity and usability. Review and approve QA plan and artifacts to ensure quality. Able to function in multi-task/multi-system environment with continuous focus on improvement and flexibility. Serve as functional interface to applications in the assigned business area. Work directly with the Enterprise Architecture team to validate the consistency of a solution design with the strategic technology direction and standards. Communicate new requirements to the Enterprise team and work with them on an ongoing basis to extend the Enterprise Architecture standards and guidance. Develop high level and detailed project estimates including system requirements, developmental approaches and acceptance criteria. Oversee periodic after hours production releases to ensure successful deployment and collaboration with release management. Mentor developers on best practices, techniques and other development life cycle areas of expertise. Coordinate directly with infrastructure team to ensure quality change management and implementation strategies are completed.

Excellent technology design knowledge and expertise including extensive knowledge of the following: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0, including WCF Web-Client and Windows Smart-Client design Object-Oriented Analysis and Design UI Prototyping techniques Service Oriented Architecture and Service Modeling Excellent ability to translate business needs into effective technology designs

Required ExperienceBachelor's degree (computer science or related preferred) 5+ years experience in IT 5+ years experience with SQL or T-SQL 5+ years experience developing in Microsoft environments 4+ years experience developing web services and server components 5+ years experience with C# 4+ years experience with .NET technologies Microsoft Certified Professionals preferred
