Consultants must be professionals who have an interest in how business processes work and interact. In addition, consultants need to apply their skills in project and program management while exhibiting leadership in process re-engineering and implementation of process, technology, and organizational change. Finally, consultants also need to have a working knowledge of the industry and/or the functional areas they serve.



The Consulting workforce is made up of three groups: Management Consulting, Systems Integration Consulting and Technology Consulting. This consulting group structure provides outstanding opportunities to develop highly specialized skills that will help you advance your career.

Job Description

In the Financial Services Capability Group, we continuously explore new sources of shareholder value for our clients. You may be asked to investigate new markets or examine opportunities to grow in existing markets. Or you may look for ways of delivering products and services more effectively and efficiently. Regardless, your work will have a strategic impact to our clients' bottom line.

Key responsibilities may include:
• Shaping and leading programs that translate results from business diagnosis and planning into transformation programs/projects
• Identifying and prioritizing account level value creation opportunities based on assessment activities and an understanding of client high level visions, performance gaps, and needs
• Translating and conveying client business needs into tangible business solution architecture
• Shaping and leading business architecture transformational programs
• Monitoring and managing target value and performance goals (e.g., strategic, financial and operations), ensuring planned business outcomes are achieved and adjusting program if necessary
• Assessing and managing risk throughout all aspects of the business solution implementation
• Leveraging the full range of appropriate client and Accenture resources in designing the change plan
• Guiding team through development and execution of stakeholder communications strategy
• Managing major proposal and business development efforts, coordinating across service lines, as appropriate
• Determining project resource mix and overall expenditure plan
• Interpreting changes in the business environment and potential program impact; actively working with client leadership to reprioritize activities/alter plan
• Working with clients to validate approaches, ensuring appropriate focus, and testing insights
• Assessing accuracy and completeness of valuation and value analyses
• Identifying an industry's key cost and value drivers and explaining their priority/influence on business performance

Requirements:
· 8+ years post-MBA experience in the Insurance Industry with significant experience in strategic/market/competitive analysis, assessing complex business issues, and evaluating financial performance
· 3-5 years of strategic development experience with evidence of significant client impact (e.g. strong relationships, influence over direction) and value creation
· Relationship building experience - ideally involved in building relationships and selling across functional areas or business units as well the identifying, selling and structuring large deals
· Recent experience with a top-tier consulting organization
· Experience leading multiple teams and working in a global, organization
· MBA Degree from Tier One Business Program an asset
· 100% travel required
