Blue Shield of California has challenging and rewarding sales opportunities now
available in their Medicare Direct Sales Department. We are looking for
career-minded, enthusiastic, well-organized professionals who have the ability
to present health care products and services to the growing senior market.
Medicare Direct Sales strives to become a trusted advisor to prospective members
for all Medicare products offered by Blue Shield of California. As a team member
of Medicare Direct Sales, you will make a significant, measurable impact on our
ability to reach our member acquisition targets.
Products include: Medicare Advantage (MAPD), Medicare Supplement, Prescription
Drug Plans and Dental plans
The direct sales representative will be responsible for contacting company
generated leads via phone (both inbound and outbound calls). Excellent
communications skills (both written and verbal) are a must. Strong sales
presentation skills needed to respond to the unique needs of each customer. Will
establish and maintain an organized call list and book of business.

Three years of direct sales experience and/or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Life Agent License with California Department of Insurance
Additional requirements a plus:
Health care industry and/or related benefit products and services background
with specific emphasis on Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and
Prescription Drug Plans preferred
Bachelor's degree
Bilingual (Spanish-English)
