The Medical Team Assistant does not actively manage cases nor carry an assigned caseload. Responsibilities and Duties:- Provide administrative support to the medical team by performing general office tasks   including but not limited to the following: - Typing, mailing, and faxing letters and forms- Handling, sorting and filing mail - Documentation of medical reports and information into the claim notes as directed by   the medical case managers- Schedule appointments and transportation for injured employees - Complete follow up phone calls to medical providers, employers, and injured   employees as directed by the medical case managers- Manage daily tasks utilizing a diary system- Assist with the obtaining and storing of computer generated reports and other   informational reports as directed by the unit managers Knowledge and Skills: - Strong oral and written communication skills- Strong customer service skills- Strong typing skills- Strong computer skills such as knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, computer based   file/folder management and the ability to navigate in a Windows Operating System   environment - Familiarity with the use of basic office machines such as fax machines and copiers- Basic medical terminology- Strong organizational and time management skills - Ability to multi-task - Detail oriented In addition to an exciting environment, we offer: * Competitive base salary with additional opportunities for variable pay through recognition programs and incentive awards * 401(k) with company match* Comprehensive health plans that include coverage for same sex/domestic partners* Strong work/family and employee assistance programs* Tuition reimbursement * Vacation Purchase Plan* Training/Development opportunities We are proud to provide comprehensive, high quality employee programs to meet employees' needs now and in the future, including a very competitive financial package.
