With minimum supervision, provides administrative, technical and processing support for all aspects of the marketing process for assigned production territory. Provides information and coordinates activity with various departments to ensure quality service for prospective clients. Exercises initiative and independent judgment to solve problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works with agents to identify and quantify prospective client needs to ensure high close ratio. Acts as primary client contact in addressing questions and concerns regarding account status at inception of account.
Responsibilities: Assists Marketers and Agents in analyzing, preparing and submitting specifications for new business. Under the guidance of the Marketing Manager or Zone Marketing Director, negotiates coverage, pricing and placement of accounts with WSA markets in support of the established marketing plan. Acts as liaison between Agent and insurance carriersEstablishes and maintains files and database reflecting prospective client information. Processes all necessary paperwork for establishing new business, which includes applications, loss summaries, binders, certificates, auto identification cards, and proposals. Offers recommendations to enhance system applications, workflow and/or operating procedures. Performs other technical and administrative duties as required to facilitate the efficient operations of the department Participates in team and management conducted meetings. Maintains technical proficiency through ongoing awareness of business and industry changes.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years experience in commercial insurance.Insurance agency experience required.Good understanding of market conditionsStrong verbal and written communication skills required. Problem-solving ability/resolution required. Attention to detail and good organizational skills required. Ability and willingness to work in an environment of constant product and market changesComputer and typing skills required.
