Working from home or from any UnitedHealth Group office, you would have local market accountability for accreditation, including supporting necessary documentation and quality improvement activities, within a specified region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful company which has a new, strategic relationship with AARP.   Primary responsibilities include:Working with local health plans to ensure compliance with NCQA standards Establishing working relationships with key individuals in the area of utilization review, credentialing, quality improvement, etc. for the involved health plans Improving HEDIS scores of local health plans Working on market-level clinical quality initiatives, including physician engagement, partnerships with local health plans, etc. Developing, reviewing and revising local policies and procedures Collaborating with HEDIS Project Managers and marketing staff to determine annual HEDIS strategy Required qualifications include:BA/BS and or equivalent experience 6+ years experience in the healthcare industry; managed care experience highly desired Experience with state/federal healthcare regulations, including NCQA, JCAHO, etc. 4 + years experience working with quality improvement initiatives Demonstrated ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships Demonstrated ability to utilize influence management skills Demonstrated attention to detail and results oriented MS Office skills to include moderate/advance EXCELL skills MS Visio proficiency preferred Prior experience bringing a health plan through NCQA accreditation UnitedHealth Group offers a full range of comprehensive benefits to full-time and part-time employees, including medical, dental and vision, as well as a matching 401k and an employee stock purchase plan.   Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere: equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V UnitedHealth Group is a drug-free workplace.  Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.
