Manager, Excess Liability Claims

Everest National Insurance Company, a member of Everest Re Group, Ltd., is actively seeking a Manager of Excess Liability Claims for our Western Region Office in Orange, Ca.Responsibilities include:Direct handling of construction defect excess liability claims venued nationwide and ranging from low to high severity.Lines of business include residential and commercial general contractors and subcontractors.Attendance at mediations and trials; development of a relationship with the Program Administrator and Everest underwriters; audits of underlying claims within the primary limits or insured's retention.The position requires overnight travel to attend trials, mediations, claim reviews or as otherwise required. Qualifications:Candidate must possess a bachelors degree and have prior excess liability claim handling experience.Strong coverage analysis skills are necessary as well as experience in evaluation severe injuries / damages.Extensive claim litigation and mediation experience is required.Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.Experience working with Self Insureds and TPAs.Strong Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks is necessary.
