USAA is currently seeking a talented Manager/Director Credit Risk for our San Antonio, TX location. As a Manager/Director Credit Risk for USAA, you manage a team of credit risk staff who are responsible for credit risk management and analysis. Monitors, assesses and reports on credit risks inherent in the Bank's various portfolios. May provide guidance on product performance, profitability and potential loss. Job Duties: Manages a team of credit risk analysts responsible for credit risk management and analysis. Applies complex mathematical modeling and forecasting techniques to solve business problems for optimal solutions. May be asked to provide subject matter expertise on all matters of credit risk management and analysis. Understands loss performance models and oversees refinements to adjust to various changes in portfolio / economic conditions / credit policy and will participate on review and drafting of reports and present analysis and recommendations. Works with internal and external auditors on loan loss performance issues. Ensures adequate internal control processes around loss performance and credit exposure. Depending on level of experience, may be expected to work with other appropriate departments and lines of business to: develop, implement and validate products, programs and portfolio management strategies to minimize credit risk in loan products while optimizing financial returns. Develop, deliver and implement credit policy to support corporate risk and revenue growth objectives. Manage third party vendor relationships. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years of credit risk experience. 1 year of leadership experience. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and applicable databases; advanced knowledge of data analysis tools including skills to develop analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS and other business intelligence and analysis software applications for data segmentation, aggregation and statistics. Ability to work with large databases and datasets for extraction, conversion into useful business information and analytical purposes; Advanced knowledge of industry data sources; thorough knowledge of product segmentations, financial instrument relationships and credit loss activities and key drivers. MULTI-LEVEL LEADERSHIP ROLES AVAILABLE. Number of years experience may merit higher level position. Preferred Skills: Consumer/Retail lending experience. 3+ years of leadership experience leading teams of 5 or more.
