Basic Function: In this position, you will be responsible for overall management of the IS CIT and LPS Team personnel. The CIT Team is responsible for the integration of new Client Companies as well as maintaining/enhancing the interface of existing CCs with HSB. The LPS team is responsible for ensuring our customer location data is properly processed to provide high quality service and analysis of underwriting risk and evaluation. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting the business in the development and deployment of new products to our CCs as well as special projects as assigned. Qualifications - Education:Required: - College Degree in Computer science related fields or equivalent work experience.Desired: - Graduate degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field. Qualifications - Work Experience:Required: - 5 to 6 years Project Management experience, 4 to 5 years supervisory experience. Desired: - Extensive Knowledge of Property & Casualty Reinsurance business. Demonstrated skills in IS Strategic Planning and direction setting. Qualifications - Technical Skills:Required: - High degree of familiarity with an IBM Mainframe environment. COBOL, JCL and use of mainframe utilities as well familiarity with relational database concepts and the Client/Server and Web platforms. Desired: - Working knowledge of both IBM Mainframe technology and with Microsoft server-based environment using SQL/Server database. .net and experience with MS Access a plus.Qualifications - Non-Technical Skills:Required: - Must be able to multitask and meet deadlines. Able to communicate effectively both verbally and written. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Strong analytical and organizational skills.Desired: - Experience as a Project Manager on large scale implementations.Qualifications - Other:Required: - Strong attention to detail. Able to work independently without close supervision. Able to recognize and resolve production support issues. Able to converse with business people using business terminology.
