Lead Application Systems Analyst

The Internet Business Unit is searching for a Lead Application Systems Analyst with a strong web and creative background for geico.com, geico.jobs, geicoracing.com, and mygreatrides.com. The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems or equivalent work experience and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the following: Critical Skills required:   Proven leadership skills managing both people (6-10 direct reports) and projects (many constituents); Website development skills in design, testing, writing for web, marketing, metrics, & search engine optimization; Experience in creative content development and creating unified branding strategies; Knowledge of HTML, SQL Server, and CSS; Understanding of relational database concepts and use of SQL queries; Working knowledge of PHP desired; Knowledge of full project and system development life cycle methodologies; Critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills;  Additional Required Skills:  Ability to communicate and interact effectively with management, direct reports, users, & developers, at all levels through both verbal and written means; Ability to be an effective team leader and motivator; Ability to meet customer needs in a timely manner; Show an appropriate sense of urgency; High level of dependability; and Permanent U.S. work authorization.  About GEICOFor 70 years, GEICO has distinguished itself from the rest of the insurance industry.
