LIFE UNDERWRITER

PEMCO Life Insurance Company seeks an Underwriter to join our team.  This position is responsible for recommending the proper premium for eligible risks.

 

Responsibilities:

·  Select or reject individual life insurance applications

·  obtain additional requirements information

·  obtain information missing from or incomplete on applications

·  Ensure accuracy of calculated rates and premiums.

·  Communicate with sales representatives and individuals whose applications for life insurance have been declined

·  Create training plans and provide training for life sales agents

 

Requirements:

·  3 to 5 years of individual life underwriting experience with increasing levels of responsibility

·  BA/BS Degree preferred

·  Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology required

·  Certifications in life insurance preferred (CLU, FLMI)

 

Job Conditions:
