JAVA/Web Manager

The JAVA/Web Manager will:Manage Web and application development activities, including supervision of programmers, project managers, analysts, testers and designers. Manage department (e-Commerce) operations, including supervision of technical support personnel, vendors and contractors, server infrastructure, software and security related to a production environment. Develop, maintain and comply with QMS processes.   Establish and enforce departmental standards based on industry best practices and regulatory standards. Maintain a server and software environment that is secure, reliable and meets the customer's availability requirements. Management responsibilities such as staffing, performance issues, budgeting, audit activities, reporting and supporting new business.

Qualifications are:Four-year degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience managing Web and application developers. JAVA programming expertise in order to perform code reviews and supervise developers -this is a must. Seven or more years in application development (Lotus Notes, Visual Basic, .Net, ASP, Cold Fusion, PHP and/or Flash). Experience in project management and Web site operations. Leadership ability, good communication (written and verbal) skills, adaptability, organization skills and the proven ability to learn technology.
