Insurance Follow-Up SpecialistDescription: Are you a detail-oriented problem-solver with verifiable experience in third-party insurance claims resolution? The position consists of handling all of the post office visit tasks such as insurance follow-up, collections and payment postings. The employee is required to perform insurance/billing clerical duties, including review and verification of patient account information against insurance program specifications. Resolution of patient billing inquiries and problems, follow-up on balances due from insurance companies and type invoices to insurance companies are just a few of the duties. You will be required to enter data electronically to process charges, payments, denials and adjustments. Analyzing and coding of surgical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-9 and CPT-4 codes will be a part of the everyday job duties. Requirements: The ideal candidates will possess a high school, diploma with 1-2 years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of training and relevant work experience. Knowledge of medical billing and insurance claim filing is a must, as well as strong communication skills. Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding with medical billing experience is required. Must be able to key 90 kspm with 90% accuracy on the data entry test. Good Excel skills with knowledge of pivot tables. The ability to multitask and be versatile is a required characteristic of the ideal candidate.Flexible schedule availability from 7am to 5pm is required.
