Insurance Agency Office Manager-Rocky Mount, NC Job Responsibilities: Manage insurance agency operations, oversee staff and ensure sales goals meet agency standards. Daily banking and deposit reconciliation. Market agency products and services to local businesses. Sell and service insurance products.Job Requirements: Ensure staff meets sales goals and agency standards. Responsible for verifying, balancing and reporting daily cash drawer, receipts and bank deposits. Market and sell agency products and services to local businesses (i.e. car dealerships, bankers). Assist in recruiting, screening and selecting qualified candidates for employment. Administer new hire orientation, training, and employee counseling. Assist agents with the completion of applications, endorsements and reviews for accuracy. Sell and service new and existing customers by completing insurance applications, and explaining coverage to customers. Receive customer premium payments and issue receipts. Complete weekly reports. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma GED required. Current state property/casualty license required. Requires a minimum of 6 months experience as a licensed agent. 2+ years insurance experience a plus. 1-2 years supervisory or management experience a plus.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Must be able to work in an organized way in a  very fast paced environment, can manage accounting and book-keeping  processes for hundreds of daily transactions using an agency management software system as well as various other software applications. Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance  policies and coverage etc. Ability to sell and explain insurance products and other add on products to customers. Ability to communicate effectively when explaining insurance coverage/options to customers. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Ability to train and motivate staff. Problem solving and decision making skills. Knowledge of the insurance processes. Knowledge of insurance laws and regulations.

SUPERVISION: This position is responsible for supervising and training 1 to 10 employees as required by office production.
