Work to design, produce and publish media and interactive courseware for on-line distribution, create the courseware, using authoring & management tools and our video production/post-production facilities. Types of media developed may include video presentations, streaming A/V, Flash, HTML, web pages, power-point or other electronic media. Will also assist in the development of written course materials, help maintain the on-line Learning Center and assist our customers with accessing our Learning Center. Bachelors Degree in Media Design/Development, Educational Technology, Instructional Design or a similar discipline, Masters preferred. 3-5 years experience creating multimedia using graphics/multimedia software, editing tools for audio and video. Position Summary
This position will report to the Studio Director. The incumbent will work with Content and Subject Matter Experts to design, produce and publish media and interactive courseware for on-line distribution via our Learning Center. He/she will create the courseware using proprietary and standard content creation, authoring and management tools and our video production/post-production facilities. The types of media he/she will develop may include taped or live video presentations, streaming A/V, Flash, HTML, web pages, power-point or other electronic media. The Instructional Technologist will also assist in the development of written course materials, help maintain the Learning Center and assist our customers with accessing our Learning Center.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop computer/web-based training and multimedia materials that meet stated objectives which requires the creation of storyboards, graphics, flash interactions, video and web pages.
Work with content providers and Subject Matter Experts and provide recommendations for instructional design, use of assessments and design of course materials and activities to maximize learning.
Author, conduct quality control of and publish courses to the Learning/Content Management System.
Use instructional design principles to develop or modify existing instructional materials using a variety of different media and formats.
Function as a primary contact responsible for researching, isolating, escalating, resolving and documenting support requests from Learners using our web based learning portal.
Work with vendors & business partners to find and resolve technical problems and improve workflows.
Keep abreast of industry and technology developments.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong working knowledge of HTML, Flash, web page layout, graphic design, video production & post-production is required. Solid knowledge of and ability to use corresponding development applications and hardware.
Demonstrated understanding of instructional design and adult learning theory/principles.
Proficiency with MS Office, advanced PowerPoint skills
Excellent writing and proofreading skills
ability to work in a collaborative environment, to multi-task and to work within aggressive timeframes.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, ability to work well with a variety of people and deal with situations diplomatically.
Must be organized, able to act independently, have an eye for detail and can put ideas into a tangible form
Ability to research problems to a successful conclusion, and research alternative solutions to issues
Consistency in completing routine and detailed tasks
Adaptive to change in priorities, ability to be flexible with workload priorities
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of computer hardware

Desirable Training & Experience
