Implementation Project Manager

Implementation Project Manager The implementation project manager is responsible for facilitating, tracking and reporting all activities involved in preparing to move a broker office, or group of offices, from their legacy system to a new agency management system.  The implementation is approximately 6 months in duration per office, or group of offices, and includes the following activities.  The project manager is responsible for ensuring these activities are complete in preparation for the system change as well as providing on site support for the first two weeks after the cutover. Deliverables: Managing site specific requirements of gathering, development and delivery primarily focusing on data requirements for conversion Tracking and participating in the activities for conversion of data from legacy system to the new system Planning, tracking and participating in the validation of trial and final runs of data conversion Coordinating meetings and resources to support various implementation activities Planning and tracking implementation tasks against the site implementation project plan Weekly status reports and meetings with core team members from the site and project team Conducting checkpoints with site management on preparation status Facilitation of the Go / No Go decisions Tracking and facilitation to resolution of all site related issues Communications and coordination between site staff and project team including project management, technical, support and quality assurance team members Providing and distributing meeting notes from all key meetings and tracking associated action items Planning and tracking any user testing activities, if needed for site specific customizations Identifying and documenting change requests and facilitating the requests through the Change Control process Integrate feedback and lessons learned into process for continual improvement Skill set: 1-3 years Insurance experience, preferably in a brokerage office 3-5 years project management experience involving both technical and business activities with increasing responsibility in project size and management of multiple projects simultaneously 3+  years experience with full project lifecycle activities including planning, analysis and design, development (minimal) and quality assurance Ability to adapt to last minute changes and manage the team and customers (site staff) through the changes Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office suite and MS Project Willingness to support other projects as needed during peak times Experience with internet based applications, preferred Experience with database centric systems and data conversions, preferred Ability to function effectively in a virtual environment Self-directed Willingness to travel (30-45%) Strong communication skills Job Reference Code: Implementation Project Manager Company: Modis, Inc.
