Join us at our headquarters in Milwaukee's vibrant downtown for a career that offers you an opportunity to use your talent to its fullest potential.  HEALTH INVESTIGATOR - Underwriting Customer Service   * 7 Positions Open in Milwaukee *   (There are also 9 positions open in our Plymouth, MN office - check out that listing too!)   We are currently looking for YOU to join our fast paced Underwriting Team.  You will support the Underwriting team by reviewing, gathering and relaying protected health information so as to facilitate risk assessment(s) by the underwriting staff at Assurant Health.  We will look to you to respond to inbound telephone calls from applicants wishing to complete their Personal Health History Interview.  Your sunny disposition will reply to an underwriter’s request for additional medical history or administrative, details by calling applicants to obtain outstanding health history information necessary for underwriters to complete a risk assessment on pended files.  We will look to you to accurately and completely enter gathered data into our systems as well as successfully maintain personal phone statistics, production results, time service statistics and quality results, as outlined in the performance goals.  Other stimulating projects will be available such as other telephonic and clerical follow-ups.   We are looking for 7 impressive Customer Service Representatives to join our team.  Ideal candidates will have previous customer service or call center experience with excellent oral and written communication skills.  Bring your strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with challenging and often sensitive situations.  Use your ability to follow online and written procedures as well as multi-task while on a telephone.  Candidate must have some basic knowledge of medical terminology.  Ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of pharmacology, anatomy and physiology and will type around 40 wpm.  We will need you to be flexible with regards to work schedules as they are driven by business need and call volumes.  LOMA and other industry related certifications/accreditations a plus.   Hours can be moved with seniority.  Hour slots we are looking to fill: (1) 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, (1) 9:00 am - 5:30 pm. (1) 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, (1) 10:00 am - 6:30 pm, (2) 11:00 am - 7:30 pm, (1) - 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm.
