HR Receptionist

Job Summary:  The receptionist for the Human Resources department assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations.  The essential duties are as follows:  Provide clerical support to the Human Resources Department Initial contact for the Human Resources Department (Applicants, Employees, Visitors) Assist HR Generalist and Manager  with clerical functions of pre-hire process Coordinate and issue Home Office security cards Maintain Company’s Employee Directory Organize and file personnel and medical records Maintain active/inactive I-9 files Exit interview tracking Compile all new hire packets (AL, LA) for new hire completion Compile employee handbooks for distribution Complete data entry in HRIS system Send Thank You letters to recruitment candidates Send employee birthday and anniversary cards Order flowers, etc. for employees (Get Well, Death in Family, etc.) Place gift card orders for employees (New Baby and Wedding only) Sort and distribute employee payroll advices/manual checks Order and maintain office supplies for department Pull records for the Generalist and Manager   Fax relevant information  to the  LDOL Process LDOL and AL DIR Information for employees Scan resumes, expense reports  and other significant  data Send approved Job Requisition to Generalist for posting positions Schedule interviews Fed-ex paycheck, garnishment and any addition paperwork related to HR function Send Status change emails and mail candidate offer letters Create Help tickets with Information Technology department Obtain general vendor information for purposes of recruiting, event planning, etc. Answer general basic HR questions via AFFM handbook Assist with candidate Background checks All other duties as assigned Qualifications:  Position requires a minimum of six months experience in a fast paced Human Resources department.  High School diploma or GED equivalent; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.  Must possess ability to multi-task; strong written and verbal communication skills.  Affirmative Insurance Holdings is the proud parent behind some of the nations' top specialty auto insurance brands.
