Safeco has an exciting opportunity for a customer focused individual to join our Field-Property Claims team as a Property Field Examiner in the Chicago, IL area. As a Property Field Examiner, you will: Use your strong decision-making skills to investigate and maintain Property claims. Showcase your analytical skills to determine coverage, investigate and estimate property damage and settle claims. Use your strong communication skills to secure information and educate the insured. Strengthen your multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent field work experience in handling personal lines property claims, commercial property experience a plus. Strong technical estimating skills and at least 2 years Xactimate experience. Effective written and verbal communication skills and strong proficiency in computers and MS Office suite. You must have a clean driving record as you will have a company vehicle. This is a telecommuter position, where an office will be set-up at your personal residence. However, you must reside in or near the Chicago area. The territory covers the Metro Chicago and suburb areas.
