Experienced Adminstrative Assistant Needed

SUMMARY:Provides support to the Insurance Unit. Performs a variety of tasks to include data entry, mailing, word processing, insurance document issuance and processing of payments.  Will also be required to support the Licensing and Bond Units as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

· Review submitted insurance applications for completeness.

· Follow-ups with members to gather additional information on insurance applications.

· Responsible for the maintenance of members’ accounts and makes contact with members as needed.

· Responsible for the daily issuance of certificates of insurance.

· Communication and assistance required by organization membership.

· Responsible for the accurate processing of premium changes including system updates, deposits, and reconciliation.

· Independantly handles suspense items.

· Reviews policies for accuracy and updates automation.

· Provide information to members regarding the filing of claims, including forms and contact information.

· Faxing and filing as required by unit.

· Open and distribute departments incoming mail.

· Generates reports.

· Receptionist backup duty for the department.
