ELD CLAIMS ATTORNEY
Seeking a claims attorney for the Executive Liability Division (ELD) located in Schaumburg, Illinois. We provide professional and management liability insurance to companies in all industries ranging from small non-profit entitities to the Fortune 500. This position will provide the successful candidate with exposure to all types of management liability including breach of fiduciary duty, employment practices claims, homeowner and customer complaints, as well as credity suits.
As a member of our claims department, you will be responsible for performing a detailed analysis of each claim, researching the various legal issues involved, issuing written coverage opinions and monitoring all aspects of the claim, including hiring and paying defense counsel. You will also provide information to underwriters and reinsurers concerning specific claims or insureds and legal trends and issues that affect the business in general.
Applicants must possess a law degree with admission to the bar. Experience in the areas of litigation, insurance coverage, employment practices, or claims adjusting would be a plus.
