DescriptionPerforms administration, configuration and provides primary technical support to a document management system. Activities include analysis of business needs, setting up document structure, business workflows, security settings in the document management system. Performs system administration and production error analysis and correction. Reports directly to Web Development Manager from whom overall direction is received.Required Skills



Requires a minimum of 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent. In-depth, industry relevant experience and 2-year associate degree can be considered in place of a 4-year degree. Minimum of 2 years of relevant IT work experience is required.

Requires experience involving document management, imaging/workflow solutions, or other enterprise wide content management solutions. Familiarity with supporting commercially available web and client/server applications is required. Previous experience with managing and supporting document management solutions (e.g. Documentum, ImageRight, FileNet etc.) in a live production environment is desirable.

Requires experience working with business liaisons to elicit detailed descriptions of end user needs. Must be skilled at writing business requirements and design documentation. Must possess ability to quickly learn and adapt to insurance business processes and workflows.

Requires knowledge of working with process design, MS-Visio, MS-Office suite applications, is required. Must have programming knowledge in Windows environment, using VB, VBscript, Javascript, HTML, SQL. Must possess an understanding of role based security via Windows and SQL database. Knowledge of XML and web services is desirable.

Experience using RUP & Use Case methodology is desirable. Knowledge of end user reporting tools is desirable.

Requires exhibition of an array of skills including: Communications, Status/Issue Reporting, Teamwork, Customer Focus and Problem Solving Skills. Should be self-motivated and work independently with minimal direction and oversight. Understanding of application and data security and privacy issues as it relates to insurance industry applications is needed.

Must possess or quickly acquire an understanding of the company's general philosophy, organizational structure, personnel policies and operating methods and procedures.

Must have visual and hearing capability to operate computer and telephone equipment for essential job functions. Must have physical capability of using keyboard on a regular basis.
