Director of Underwriting This exclusive retained search for a Director of Underwriting is a key role in my clients organization.  This organization provides property and casualty insurance products and services to a regional market.  Their efforts allow policyholders to conduct their business and personal matters with the knowledge that they are protected by a financially-strong and established insurer.  My client, founded over 165 years ago, strives for profitable growth through a commitment to individualized customer service and by providing the independent agent with a stable market for quality insurance products.  The Director of Underwriting serves as a vital leader within the underwriting team and the organization as a whole. The candidate will also serve as a vital link to independent agencies through periodic visits supported by telephone and written communication.  This premier insurance organization is in need of a dynamic candidate to lead their Underwriting Team from the ground floor, as well as a macro and operations level.  Must have experience in Agency exposure, Compliance, Risk Management and Market Conduct.  The candidate will be responsible for Corporate Loss Ratio, establishing and enforcing Underwriting policy.  Will lead a team of 15 Underwriters, 10 Assistant Underwriters and a Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager.  The Director of Underwriting reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Commercial Business.   Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree * At least 10 years previous experience in Commercial Lines Underwriting and Leadership  * Excellent experience and understanding of Commercial insurance programs. * CPCU, IIA or CIC preferred ** EXCELLENT  BENEFITS & COMPENSATION PACKAGE!!!   MRINetwork, one of the world's largest search and recruitment organizations, has over 1,000 offices in more than 35 countries.
