Director of Human Resources
Director of Human Resources
International Specialty Insurance Company located in Northwest Houston as a need for a Director of Human Resources. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director will oversee the Training Manager and HR Generalists.
Job Responsibilities:Employee Relations, training, employment/recruitment, process improvement, policy development and evaluation, performance management and complianceProvide guidance, consultation and direction on matters of employment law and retention to both management and employeesAssist in the development of strategic staffing and workforce plans, including establishing hiring goals, global sourcing, recruiting targets and metrics, and retention strategiesCoordinate succession planning and leadership development for the organizationProvide guidance, consultation and staff assistance to management concerning employee training and development mattersPartner with management on performance management processes and systemsWork with recruiters with HR and managers of assigned work groups in determining appropriate staffing projectionsAssist of HR staff and and managers of assigned work groups in determining appropriate pay rates and incentives for employees within their work areasReview wages and make recommendations for change to avoid discriminatory practicesOther duties as assigned
Requirements/Skills:Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field10+ years of progressive HR Management, with specific experience in a variety of HR disciplines, including HR processes, laws, talent management, employee relations and staffingDemonstrated leadership skillsWorking knowledge of HRIS systemsMulti-state and insurance experience a plus
