PII is looking for a candidate to oversee our business continuation and records management programs. . Position is the business unit Business Continuation Officer and reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer. . Candidate wuold interact with the local company Business Continuation Officers to ensure each local company has a proper BC program, including appropriate plan documentation, employee awareness, testing activities, and monitoring of gap mitigation. . Candidate would interact with the local company Records Management Officers to ensure each local company has a proper Records program, including appropriate guidelines and employee awareness. In 2009, PII plans to perform a detailed self-assessment of the programs in each local company to evaluate operating effectiveness. This candidate would lead that assessment process. . Candidate would supervise one staff member responsible for tracking all control deficiencies identified through management risk assessments, loss events, internal audits, external audits and regulatory inspections. . Candidate would assist in other risk management related projects, as needed. . Candidate must have prior experience with business continuation planning standards/practices, preferably in life insurance operations. . Candidate must be able to work independently (minimum oversight). . Candidate must be able to partner with colleagues at various levels of the organization in businesses located around the world. . Candidate must have effective written communication skills. . Candidate must be willing to travel internationaly up to 25% of the year.
