Director - Corporate Development
Description:The individual will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:Supporting the Department role as liaison with the four major rating agencies. Responsibilities will include dissemination of timely and accurate information for annual rating agency meetings and survey information. Performing competitive intelligence of the companys peers that includes data outlining their financial performance and business strategies. Supporting the financial and strategic planning process across the organization from development of guidance for the business units through completion of the ultimate Board deliverablesDeveloping analysis and reports of key trends and issues impacting the industry and the organization.Supporting M&A transactions on an as needed basis. Working effectively with business leaders, team members and peers.Handle special projects related to any business request.Qualifications:Knowledge about the life insurance business, including GAAP and statutory accounting principlesSolid analytical skills. Detail oriented with strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Capable to multi-task in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency that meets all deadlines.A self-starter who is able to balance confidence with business etiquette Strong relationship building skills and work ethicExcellent time management, planning and organizational skillsA decision maker with good judgment and the ability to contribute individually as well as part of a teamMust have excellent PC skills, including the entire Microsoft suite and various internet search techniquesSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceBeing with the best has its benefits, not the least of which is... the benefits.
