Development Manager

Overview:

Esurance Development teams are organized to deliver key projects and defect resolution for business units such as, Sales & Marketing, Insurance Operations, Response Center, Claims and Finance. Development Manager will be responsible to lead a team of 10 to 15 developers at various skill levels.

Responsibilities:

In this role, Development Manager will be responsible for:
- Delivering business plan projects for respective business unit
- Performs program & system analysis. Provides technical consultation & proposes solutions.
- Maintains & enhances current applications defect free and resolve issues
- Organize and manage matrix project and cross-functional team resources to develop, test and deploy application releases
- Hold weekly review meetings with business partners and facilitate communication to develop and maintain healthy relationship
- Supervise and guide staff in day to day activities while ensuring to attract and retain high performing individuals

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a highly technical team. Demonstrated attention to detail, follow through, and ability to prioritize quickly are necessary

- This dedicated individual will have skills in .NET development with object-oriented design, web development and structured methodology.
- Minimum of 8 years direct web development experience required including 2 years in Management.
- Insurance knowledge and familiarity with associated technologies
- Extensive knowledge of .NET development, JavaScript, SQL, COM, Windows Server 2000.
- COM, SQL, STL, HTML, JavaScript, and object modeling with a CASE tool experience are a plus.
