Allstate was founded in 1931 and became a publicly traded company in 1993.This manager position is a consultant-level role within Allstate Insurance.  As a Delivery Lead you will be responsible for providing leadership in project management, process management and client relationships.  This position is aligned to Product Technology and serves as a liaison to business areas in Emerging Business - Commercial.  The position requires meeting attendance at the South Barrington campus. Knowledge of policy admin and back-end processing systems. Managing and aligning a matrix team to the organization's vision, mission and goals in a less stable, more complex IT team environment. Working with Area of Competencies leader to ensure skills are developed and the right tools/processes exist to delivery Commercial Technology commitments. Managing resource utilization and allocating matrix team workload. Coaching, mentoring and developing peers and team members while promoting an environment that supports work/life balance. Developing/managing Commercial Technology budgets for resources/projects and participating in the annual budget process. Removing barriers to delivering projects on time and within budget while collaborating to resolve difficult problems. Building, cultivating and maintaining long-term relationships both within and external to the area of responsibility. Creating and delivering communication messages that are appropriate based on the message, audience and content. Utilizing functional, business and technical knowledge to recommend best client/user solutions and initiating discovery to scope new ideas. Managing long-term vision aligned with client needs, technology and business strategy, and future IT capabilities. Creating and maintaining formal business agreements and monitoring client satisfaction. Primary Responsibilities: Facilitates IT project delivery and support.  Controls budget, expenses and scope.  Manages risk, issue and problem resolution.  Develops, supports, and manages relationships (business, vendors, enterprise, etc.).  Communicates and manages communications.  Uses functional, business, and technical knowledge to ensure delivery of the best solutions.  Identifies process improvement opportunities.   Experience Required: 5 years of managing in an IT / Business environment, Matrix Organization experience a plus 7 years of working knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance, Commercial Lines experience a plus 2 years of contract review / negotiation Advanced relationship building skills Advanced presentation (written and verbal) skills Computer Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Project A Plus: Working knowledge of Windows SharePoint Services A Plus: Working knowledge of Corporate Modeler Suite (CMS) Education Preferred: Minimum of an undergraduate College Degree, preferably in a IT / business-related field
