We are looking for someone to sit onsite with a new workers' compensation account located in Falls Church, VA. The employee would be responsible for handling Defense Base Act claims arising from injuries sustained by US Contractors working primarily in Iraq and/or Afghanistan.

 

Responsibilities:

Investigate and settle Workers' Compensation Claims promptly and equitably for a dedicated ACE USA insured under supervision of Claims Supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated claims investigation/adjusting experience and technical competence, including knowledge of applicable state/local legislation, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

• Ability to work independently, while assimilating various technical subjects, as evidenced by successful completion of a college-level curriculum or equivalent practical work experience.

• Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to be capable of dealing with insureds in a positive manner concerning losses, and to be able to deal with outside investigative sources, public officials and attorneys, as well as other personnel.

• Must be able to operate effectively in a team environment.
